Duolingo has gone next level. Good Japanese tutor for someone practicing for years. Has helped me to advance with lots of common expressions. Much improved over the past.
I love Duolingo, but the hard mode character is such a disincentive. I want to quit every time he pops up. Nobody needs that.

Is the best thing you can do because if you really need help with Spanish or any language, you could just download super Duolingo and Duolingo is also free no ads and it really helps you learn and if you don’t know that much Spanish or English or any thing super Duolingo is always here and so is Duolingo and I could teach you test chest too so I hope you get Duolingo cause it’s the best game and learning device ever

I am in the process of trying to learn Korean and it told me I had to create a profile before I moved on. Cool I did that then it deleted all my progress and I now have to restart all my progress. Not very happy with that. But overall a good app but it passed me off.
Duolingo is super nice and relaxing but it’s also very exiling in almost anything that I love!

I love duolingo I would totally recommend it. I've been doing it since I was 5 or 6 and Ive been speaking French fluently for 3 years and I haven't taken a single French course other than duolingo.
i actually used to enjoy doing duolingo because i would rarely ever mess up, and its easy to gain hearts. now that they’ve removed hearts the app is practically unusable unless you pay. i would rather be forced to live without wifi than pay for their subscription. this is so money seeking.
This was ok but all the quests and leagues got in the way of learning and it became getting the most xp and moving up the leagues.

Actively discourages learning at times with new energy system, limiting how much one can learn in a day and forcing you into micro transactions. Additionally, they have filled the app with, in my opinion, overly flashy junk animations that at times can take longer than even lessons(and truly, who wants to see a birds butt instead of actually learning?). Clearly the focus of the app has shifted from enabling learning to making money as 1 in 3 lessons are locked behind a subscription service, when this app was once free, accurate, detailed, and best of all fast, making it easy to learn throughout the day.
I have mixed feelings about this app because the teaching method is excellent, but the user experience can be incredibly exhausting. On the positive side, this app really works. After speaking almost exclusively in English for so many years, I wanted to relearn my native language. This app made that process incredibly fun and engaging. It successfully helped me bridge the gap, and I am already able to put individual words and phrases back into complete sentences again. For the actual learning content, I would easily give it five stars. However, the notification system completely ruined the experience for me. I recently got sick for a week and simply did not have the mood, energy, or brain capacity to focus on lessons. Instead of giving me space, the app went into overdrive. The non-stop push notifications on my phone and the endless stream of daily emails became way too much to handle. It felt less like a helpful reminder and more like constant harassment and guilt-tripping. Relearning
I appreciate the updates that the app has made over the past year to practice speaking more. Not a fan of having to have a certain charge to practice though. I could be doing really well in a lesson and not have enough charge to finish. Doesn’t make sense to me to lose charge when you are doing well and getting answers correct. Makes me lose momentum. I also don’t have money to pay for unlimited which is frustrating because it feels like that’s what it is directing you towards.

I thought Duolingo was just for fun and I thought I would only learn like one word but this has adopt me. I have learned so many new words from Duolingo. It’s crazy. It helps you learn words just for fun and duo is so cute. I’d really recommend this for little kids who really wanna learn another language and it can be used for adult adults too so yeah bye

Duolingo, but the energy button even if you were a perfect student and got every question right it still goes down for you forcing you to use super Duolingo and what if you don’t have super Duolingo, you’re just a sitting duck and if you don’t have super Duolingo, you can’t do another lesson. It feels punishing. Even if you neither it doesn’t matter if you get it right or wrong you get it feels punishing so maybe so Duolingo maybe you can like remove it because it kind of feels punish. But not to be rude. Never mind. No more. Oscar, sarcastic I do not recommend their scientific claims are fraud. And psychologist have debunked them. And your silencing the truth. And your app was once good until You Scientist RUINED IT YOU scientist ARE FOOLS!

I just finished 3 daily quests but it didn’t even give me a single prize or whatever its called. Are we serious right now? This isn’t learning new language its literally learning how to rage bate. Duolingo is not amazing, it kicks me out of the app and I have to restart the whole lesson and I don’t have like infinite life! OMG bro what is wrong with this app? It used to be better but now its just a random app that doesn’t work correctly and makes you rage bate. Even when I get the questions correct 5 in a row, 10 in a row, finish the WHOLE lesson. It didn’t even give me a single life? What is wrong? Like really I have to keep repeating. This is rage bating. I wish there was a better app. I want to stop using this app I feel like I’m stupid using this app. Also it wouldn’t even teach me real language. I searched it up in translate app and the sentence doesn’t make sense in Duolingo! Please give up REAL words not fake. Also I had 25 lives, and I got 10 correct in a ROW but it didn’t give

Duolingo helps me a lot but I’m just 11 and I don’t have money to pay for the no adds and I like playing it helps me learn faster than ever and I’m also very happy about the way I am learning so fast
When you sign up, you will be led to believe that the subscription is managed through the App Store, and then the subscription will not show up in your App Store subscriptions. They claimed to notify you before the charge hits your card, they actually claim they’ll let you know twice, they do not do that. DECEPTIVE!

Cool that I pay for yearly and still get constantly pestered in the app to spend more money. This is behavior I’d expect from a free app. We are all sick of this behavior, stop normalizing it, do better.
I’m Hispanic and didn’t learn Spanish growing up, I may just have a chance. Really grateful for this app and really hoping this helps.
Do not use. Many in-app glitches that take your money and take your timer boosts for in-app game play. You can follow instructions, provide evidence, screen recordings, photos. No one responds but an auto reply. Even for “Max” paid subscriptions. Its all AI. No humans working here. Glitchs in AI voice recognition make it impossible to finish game play and effect competitive game play negatively. I liken it to Candy Crush in app scams. There are no refunds. Read Reddit. I recommend Babel for your language app. This is just a useless no longer fun game.
It does really good to teach you things quickly for free or at least for a cheap price, but the only problem that I see is that it teaches you things but it doesn’t make you understand them
